The University of Valladolid has an Integration Program for people with disabilities and, specifically, for students with disabilities:

  • This program is intended to facilitate the inclusion and greater autonomy possible for students with disabilities at the University. From the demand of the disabled student, the required support is configured with the aim of achieving a process of integration with autonomy in university studies. To this end, the Secretariat of Social Affairs has articulated activities such as direct support from classmates through the voluntary provision of accompaniment, help in the location in the classroom, help in monitoring classes, etc..
  • Technical support is also offered, such as information on administrative issues, during the registration period, recording of texts for the visually impaired, acquisition of adapted equipment when appropriate, arrangements for the pertinent adaptations in exams, etc.
  • In addition, technical assistance is offered from the Universia Product Bank, since the University of Valladolid and the UNIVERSIA Foundation have an agreement for the loan of technical aids and support products to university students with disabilities who require them for the development of practical classes, exams, etc.
  • The institution also promotes various awareness-raising activities in the university environment for people with disabilities, with the aim of influencing the university community to promote social awareness of physical and/or sensory diversity. These awareness-raising activities are carried out throughout the academic year and involve students, professors, administrative and service personnel and collaborating entities of the group of people with disabilities.
